Prepare for the Carousel




TASK 1 

Please look at the Media Carousel for the next 5 Weeks

The Aim of attending these sessions is to research and try a number of different skills that might impact your future media projects. These workshops allow you to see a number of different areas of the Creative Studies department, try new things and use these to enrich your coursework through your time here. 

During the carousel you will be assessed on your blog diary entries that discuss the activities that you undertook and how you achieved the following for Unit 1 and 2
Unit 1 

1.1 Understand processes and technical skills used in creative media production.

1.2 Understand the characteristics and methods of communication within a media context.

Unit 2
1.1 Understand design and research tools, methods and skills used in creative media production.

  • 2.1 Understand primary and secondary research sources
  • 3.1 Be able to use design and research tools, methods and skills to inform ideas for creative media production.

    • During the Carousel YOU NEED TO TAKE PART...... attend on-time each of the skills workshops for the two days. During this time you will be undertaking a series of task relating to that discipline. it is important that you.
    1. Document what you do in the session (Pictures, Diary entries, Printouts ETC)
    2. Write up your experience of the following...
    • Research that you carry out in these sessions
    • Skills that you have tried, 
    • The processes and methods you used (Photography wet process, Screen Printing, Photoshop layering etc) 
    • The tools that you used (Paint, Material, Software, etc)
